At Barnardo’s we believe in children no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. We support some of the most vulnerable children in the UK with essential services, campaigns and research. In 2017 we worked with 272,000 children, young people, parents and carers. To create better outcomes for more children and families we have committed to three strategic aims that will help us do that. We will work with children, young people and their families to help build: stronger families, safer childhoods and positive futures. We makes sure that others can learn from our experience by acting as a powerful voice for children and young people when influencing public policy, and by sharing our learning with the wider sector to improve practice.
As part of our strategic plan Barnardo’s implements a number of evidence based programme that are school based and seek to improve children’s emotional health and well-being.
